Maryam Nawaz says that Imran Khan left Kashmir at the mercy of India

Muzaffarabad: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz on Friday mocked Prime Minister Imran Khan, saying he had left occupied Kashmir at the mercy of India.

Addressing a rally in Muzaffarabad as part of the party’s election campaign, Maryam said the PML-N would save Azad Kashmir from an “elected government”, adding that Prime Minister Imran Khan had asked India to Kashmir has been sold.

“Imran Khan has left Kashmir at the mercy of India, so no matter how hard he tries to act, everyone knows he was involved in this trade,” he said.

“I ask Imran Khan, who gave him the right to sell Kashmiris’ blood? [to India]”

Giving a joke on the Prime Minister’s past, Maryam asked how a person who has “played” his entire life can know about a country’s foreign policy.

“The bat he used to play cricket is now being used to defeat the people,” he said.

He also criticized PTI politicians for spending taxpayers’ money to go to the AJK for the election campaign, saying: “Some people are coming to bribe people just for their votes.”

He then said that he did not have to travel to Azad Jammu and Kashmir because “Kashmir is already running. [her] Blood

“People come here for election campaigns but Kashmir is in my heart,” he said.

He also promised the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir that once in power, the PML-N would ensure that poverty would be eradicated from the region and people would have a long way to go to buy basic necessities. You don’t have to stand in line.

“We will never abandon the Kashmiri people,” he said. “Just grab those who try to steal your vote by the neck and don’t let them run away.”
