Microsoft buys doom-owner Zenimax for $ 7.5 billion

Microsoft corp Said it would acquire Zenimax media With $ 7.5 billion in cash, consolidating its Xbox video game offering with the studio behind titles such as Fallout and Doom Reboot.
Zenimax is the parent company of Bethesda Softworks, which has also developed hits including The Elder Scrolls, Wolfenstein and Dishonored.

Microsoft said the ZeniMax deal would close in the second half of FY 2021, and would have minimal impact on adjusted operating income in fiscal 2021 and 2022.
