Moeen, Ireland Bairstow in England’s training team for ODIs | Cricket news

This means that England’s white-ball team is set without a number of team members who beat New Zealand in the World Cup final last year, including Joe Root and Ben Stokes.

The England one-day team will go to an on-site training camp at the Aegis Bowl on 16 July, with the selectors playing two intra-squad warm-up matches before choosing the team.
The series, which is being played behind closed doors, starts on July 30, followed by matches on August 1 and 4.
England are also expected to play three T20 Internationals against Pakistan in August and September, with three T20s and three ODIs against Australia originally expected to be re-arranged for July.
Australian coach Justin Langer said earlier on Thursday that it was important that he continue on a tour of England “for the health of world cricket” despite the challenges of COVID-19.
