new Delhi: MTNL Mumbai Telecom has launched a new scheme for its prepaid customers for Rs 251. The new STV 251 plan provides 1GB daily data with unlimited calls for a period of 28 days. If the daily data limit is exhausted, customers will have to pay 3 paise per 10KB. Users can avail unlimited local and STD calls with 100 free SMS per day. Interested customers can get this scheme online by recharging and then according to a report by Telecom Talk, send SMS to 444 along with ‘SUB RCH’ to activate the scheme.
Vodafone has launched a new plan in the Rs 251 plan. Airtel And Reliance Jio also has similar plans for Rs 251. Under this new scheme, Vodafone will give a total of 50GB of data and 100 SMS per day. This new prepaid plan comes with a validity of 28 days. However, there is no benefit of unlimited calling with this plan. The scheme is listed under the ‘Add on’ voucher category on the Vodafone website and is available in the telecom sectors of Chennai, Haryana, Odisha, Gujarat, Bihar, Tamil Nadu, UP East and Kerala.
Meanwhile, state-owned telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited has launched a new prepaid scheme. The plan is priced at Rs 699 and is effective from today. Apart from this, BSNL has also revised an existing prepaid plan of Rs 188 by changing its validity period. Both these plans are available for prepaid users in Chennai and Tamil Nadu circles.
As part of the scheme, BSNL has offered free voice calls to its prepaid customers in both home and national areas for up to 250 minutes. This includes calls to the MTNL circle of Delhi and Mumbai as well. Users will also get 0.5GB of data daily, after which the speed will be reduced to 80Kbps.
