The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) announced on Thursday that it had postponed the hearing of PML-N vice-president Maryam Nawaz, which was scheduled for tomorrow.
Maryam was summoned by the NAB on March 26 in connection with the Chaudhry Sugar Mills case and the purchase of land in Raiwind.
In a statement on Thursday, the anti-corruption watchdog said the decision was taken in the NCOC’s guidelines against the corona virus and in the wider public interest.
According to a press release issued by the NAB, a meeting was held today to discuss tomorrow’s hearing in addition to the recommendations provided by the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) on increasing the third code wave.
According to the anti-corruption watchdog, Sharif’s family members illegally acquired 3,500 kanals of land in Raiwind in 2013 with the connivance of district administration and revenue officials.
