NAB files reference against Saleem Mandviwala

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has filed a reference in the Islamabad Accountability Court against Deputy Chairman Senate Saleem Mandviwala and named him as an accused in the Kidney Hills plot allotment case, 24 News HD TV Channel reported. ۔

The NAB said in the reference that Saleem Mandviwala has been accused of providing facilities to Ijaz Haroon in selling government plots to Abdul Ghani Majeed.

Other accused named in the NAB reference include Nadeem Mandviwala, Ejaz Haroon, Abdul Ghani Majeed and alleged anonymous Tariq Mahmood.

“Ijaz Haroon receives huge sums of money from fake accounts in return for allotment,” the NAB reference said.

The TV channel reported, “Ejaz Haroon prepared old files of plots in Falcoma of Kidney Hills.”

Mandviwala is accused of facilitating Ijaz Haroon in selling plots to Abdul Ghani Majeed.

The TV channel quoted NAB reference as saying that Saleem Mandviwala first bought the plot in the name of an anonymous person with the money received in return for the facility and later sold the plot in the name of another frontman. Buy anonymous shares on

“The money for the sale of the Kidney Hills plots came from fake accounts,” the reference said.

“According to documents, Saleem Mandviwala and Ijaz Haroon received Rs 14 million from fake accounts, while Saleem Mandviwala and Nadeem Mandviwala bought shares of Mangla View Company with the same amount purchased in the name of anonymous Tariq Mahmood.”

On the other hand, Saleem Mandviwala, while reacting to the news of filing reference against fake accounts of NAB, said that he would have to face NAB reference.

“I wanted the NAB to file a reference. I will fight against it and present my case in court.

“The Senate session against the NAB will be held on Friday,” Saleem Mandviwala added.

Earlier, Senate Deputy Chairman Saleem Mandviwala had told Chairman Sadiq Sanjarani that the opposition had not relinquished its position on the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

In a meeting with Sanjrani in Islamabad, he said that he and the opposition would not go even an inch in the parliamentary way of resolving issues. “The opposition believes that if its concerns are not addressed, it will table another resolution against the NAB,” he said.
