Kathmandu: Nepal has allowed universities and colleges in the Himalayan country to conduct examinations by ensuring the social security and other security measures implemented in the wake of the Kovid-19 epidemic.

Addressing the media here during the day, Foreign Minister Pradeep Kumar Gyawali said that the government has also allowed training to vocational institutes, but the number of participants should not exceed 25, The Himalayan Times reported.

The registrar of Tribhuvan University, Peshl Dahal, told The Himalayan Times that it has already conducted engineering and MPhil exams and is preparing for other stalled examinations since mid-November.

He also said that the university would make an exception for those who cannot appear due to COVID-19.

Deepak Sharma, a spokesman for the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, said in a statement, “If universities feel that physical attendance of students is feasible, they can require students to take exams at exam centers, but if they feel Whether they can conduct an online exam, project based exam or open book exam, they can do that. ”
