Republic TV editor-in-chief Arnab Goswami did not get immediate relief when he was arrested in 2018 in a suicide case, hearing his interim bail plea before the Bombay High Court on Friday.
A division bench of justices SS Shinde and MS Karnik said they would continue the hearing on Saturday due to lack of time.
The court said, “We will gather exclusively for this case tomorrow afternoon.”
Goswami was arrested from his residence in Mumbai on Wednesday and taken to Alibaug, where a case has been registered against him for the suicide of architect Anvay Naik and his mother for not paying the dues by Goswami’s firm.
The high-profile journalist has been sent to judicial custody till 18 November. Goswami is currently housed in a school in Alibaug designated as the Kovid-19 Center for Alibaug Jail.
