New Delhi: Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has said that the National Testing Agency has informed him that about 85-90 percent of the students appeared in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) on Friday.

Nishank thanked all the Chief Ministers and the NTA for proper arrangements.

The NEET Kovid-19 pandemic was conducted around the country on Sunday amid tight checks and protocols. More than 15 lakh candidates have registered for the graduate examination.

The National Testing Agency (NTA), the institution that conducts the examination, conducted measures such as increasing the number of examination centers and reducing the number of students in a room in view of COVID-19.

The exam, originally held on May 3, was postponed twice due to Kovid-19. It was first postponed to 26 July and then to 13 September.
