NYC Volunteer Crime Prevention Group Extends Patrol for Election Day

New York: The non-profit crime prevention organization The Guardian Angels is preparing itself against any riots in New York City during Tuesday’s US presidential election.
According to the report of the news agency Xinhua, about 200 members of the volunteer group will be on the streets of the city.
“We are not going to tolerate them coming for property, products or people. If it means that we have put our bodies between them and robbers and rioters, then so be it. But somebody has to ., And we don’t want to see it all again, as it did over the summer, “Curtis Sliwa, president and founder of Guardian Angels, said by CBSNYork.
The New York Police Department has advised midtown businesses to take additional security measures. Some buildings have hired armed guards, and many high-end shops are ridden with plywood.
By May and June, Black Lives Matters rolled through the city of demonstrations, with plywood owners adopting the most convenient rescue method to protect their stores against loot and rioters, especially in luxury shopping areas such as Fifth Avenue.
The Guardian Angels, formed in 1979, is an unarmed civilian patrol that began tracking subway trains during an era when the city had a high crime rate.
Now, it is a type of neighborhood watch group, which works to keep communities safe without involving police or politicians.
As part of that role, the group has accompanied protests, keeping protesters safe, and dealing with any outside instigators or robbers.
