The department had asked the candidates to upload their graduation / equivalent marks in the Student Educational Management System (SEMS) portal by November 5 before preparing the final state merit list. But due to delay in publication of graduation (UG) final year / semester results by many colleges and universities, students could not manage to upload marks.
Keeping in view the delay, the time frame of the CPET admission process has been revised. Students can update their marks in SESM portal by 10 November. After the publication of the state wide merit list on 14 November, all the admission process for PG courses will be completed by 10 December instead of 30 November.
Odisha conducted CPET for the first time for admission in PG courses offered by the state public universities and colleges. The exam was conducted from October 12 to October 22 at 28 examination centers across the state. A total of 62,942 candidates, including six Kovid-19 positive students, took the CPET-2020 examination out of 71,795 candidates. The voting percentage was 87.6.
In the previous notification, the department had announced that PG first year classes would start from 3 December. But the government has not mentioned the date of commencement of classes in the latest notification. Sources said that the department can start online classes after 10 December.
