Odisha releases timetable for MBBS exams from 2021 to 2024

BHUBANESWAR: The Higher Education Department on Thursday released a temporary program of MBBS examinations for all the universities in the state to be implemented from the years 2021 to 2024.

The state government has approved the guidelines of the National Medical Commission (NMC), which will be followed to ensure timely examination for MBBS students admitted to various institutions in the state.

Department Secretary Saswat Mishra has written a letter to the Controller of Examinations, Utkal University, Berhampur University, FM University Balasore, Sambalpur University, North Odisha University Baripada, KIIT and SOA regarding this temporary program.

The result of the third batch MBBS (Part I) examination of 2016 batch will be published in April next year. Internship of this batch will start in May 2021, while PG course will start in July 2022.

The academic session of 2021 batch will begin in October 2021. The first MBBS results will be published in September 2022. Similarly, the session of 2023 MBBS batch will start in the month of September 2023. The results of the first phase of MBBS classes will be published in September 2024. .

Following the order of the state government, from December 1, all medical and dental colleges were opened for physical classes. The government has fixed a fixed exam calendar for all 11 medical colleges in the state. However, colleges must follow strict social distance norms.
