TOLEDO, OHIO: One Officer Police said a parking disturbance in a store was responded to and a drunk man drinking a beer was shot and killed on Saturday morning.
Toledo Officer Anthony Dia He was shot in the chest after midnight in the parking lot of a Home Depot, and later declared dead in a hospital, Police Chief George Kral Said at a press conference.
Witnesses told police that the man shot the officer with a handgun and then went into a wooded area. At some point, officers heard a single gunshot from the forest, Kraal said. The gunman, described only as a 57-year-old white male, was found dead from an apparent gunshot wound around 3.30pm.
