CHANDIGARH: Haryana Higher Education Department will start online process for admission in graduate classes in state colleges from 7 September. The 2020-21 academic session will start from 6 October. “The online admission process for this session will start from 7 September and an official spokesperson of the first department said on Wednesday that the merit list will be released on 26 September.

He said that the department has decided to organize a centralized online admission for graduate classes for the session 2020-21.

Under this, online admissions will be from September 7 to 21 for all government, aided and self-finance colleges in the state.

“From September 22 to 25, a merit list will be prepared after scrutiny of applications and documents. The first merit list will be released on September 26,” the official said in the statement. .

The official said that the second merit list will be released on 30 September, for which fee will have to be submitted from 1 to 5 October.

“After this, the new academic session will start from October 6,” he said.

Earlier on Tuesday, in the Haryana State Higher Education Council meeting, it was decided that the final year examinations of state government-funded colleges and universities would be conducted by the end of September.

An estimated two lakh students are about to take these exams, the results of which will come by 31 October.

A state government statement quoted a council spokesman as saying that in keeping with the coronavirus epidemic, students were also given the option to take the exam online.

However, for the test takers inside the examination halls, all arrangements will be made, the spokesperson said, adding a minimum distance of two meters between the two candidates will be added and the schedule is also staggered.
