Pakistan Day military parade will be held in Islamabad today

The annual Pakistan Day military parade, which was postponed on March 23 and 24 this year due to weather forecasts, will be held in the capital Islamabad today.

According to Radio PakistanThe grand program will feature a contingent of the three armed forces and security forces, with fighter jets performing aerobatic tactics.

Retired Captain Anwar-ul-Haq of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Rawalpindi issued a notification on Thursday, March 25, declaring it as a local holiday in District Rawalpindi.

A similar notification was also issued by the District Magistrate of Islamabad.

To ensure that the parade is held smoothly, the Islamabad Traffic Police will be confined from Khanna Bridge to Zero Point on the Islamabad Expressway between 5am and 2pm, the National Broadcasting Corporation said.

Alternative routes are Peshawar Road to Golra and Kashmir Highway, Murree Road Cricket Stadium and Ninth Avenue and Khanna Bridge to Tamari Chowk then Rawal Dam Chowk and Serena Chowk.
