Chief of Army Staff (COOS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited Pakistan Ordnance Factories (POF) on Friday.
COAS was given a detailed briefing on the performance of various production units. The briefing envisioned the objectives achieved in line with the current operational requirements of the Pakistan Armed Forces, future plans, cost-effective and sustainable production and modernization to achieve the latest technology.
The COAS was also briefed on POF’s efforts for international export-focused projects to contribute to the national treasury. The COS visited the Display Lounge where the newly developed defense products were displayed.
Praising the POF management and staff for their dedication to improving productivity, the COS described the POF as a force behind the Armed Forces as the backbone of Pakistan’s defense. Is serving.
The COAS concluded that technological upgradation and indigenous development are essential to meet future battlefield challenges in order to achieve self-sufficiency in defense production.
