PDM’s anti-government campaign is in full swing: Shibli

Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Senator Shibli Faraz has said that despite Code 19, the country’s economy is stabilizing and all business activities are going on.

Addressing a press conference along with Science and Technology Minister Fawad Chaudhry on Sunday, the Information Minister said that all economic indicators are on a positive path.

He stressed the need to take precautionary measures to control the recent fluctuations in epidemics. He said that according to Meruna, corona vaccination is underway in Punjab.

“Infections around the world are on the rise again. In Pakistan, vaccines are being given and after health workers, the elderly are now being vaccinated. He lauded the “massive vaccination drive” in Punjab, saying, “I would urge other provinces to follow suit.”

He said the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) had failed in its politics and had suffered humiliation in both the election of the chairman and deputy chairman of the Senate as well as the vote of confidence of the Premier. Referring to the opposition as “political orphans”, the Information Minister added that his anti-government campaign was in full swing.

Addressing on the occasion, the Minister for Science and Technology said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has two statements. One is accountability and the other is transparency in elections, he added, adding that both are in the interest of the country. He said that it was reprehensible to make statements against the country due to the failure of the elections.

“Nawaz Sharif should return Pakistan’s money to avoid jail,” Chaudhry said. He claimed that Maryam Nawaz wanted to leave for London but the government was not allowing her to leave.

Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) founder Altaf Hussain has been living in London for political asylum since the early 1990s.

“Those who want to follow in the footsteps of Altaf Hussain should also remember the end of their journey.”

Furthermore, quoting PML-N leader Javed Latif’s remarks during a talk show, the minister said, “We are not here to label others as traitors. Defeat or victory is one of the electoral processes. Part of it, but that doesn’t mean anyone starts talking against the state.

“Everything Javed Latif had to say has caused outrage among the people,” he said. The minister advised the opposition to select “wise and experienced people” for their top positions. “Maryam and Bilawal have no experience [to lead the positions they are holding]”

He warned that the opposition had no rules to stand on. “First he said he believed in open voting when signing the Charter of Democracy, then he chose to oppose it. [electoral reform]He observed.
