Peshawar High Court Chief Justice Waqar Ahmed Seth died of the corona virus on Thursday.
Announcing the death, a Peshawar High Court spokesman said Justice Seth was infected with the coronavirus.
He was being treated at Kulsoom International Hospital in Islamabad.
Justice Seth was promoted to Additional Judge in PHC on August 2, 2011, and was sworn in as Chief Justice of the Peshawar High Court on June 28, 2018.
He is best known for sitting on the bench that sentenced former President Pervez Musharraf to death in a high-profile treason case.
