ISLAMABAD: According to media reports, if the government imposes a ban on reducing the amount of petroleum imposed, petrol prices in Pakistan may come down slightly from October 16. This was reported by Geo News on Wednesday.
In this regard, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority has sent a summary of petrol prices to the Petroleum Division.
The government is currently levying a petroleum levy of Rs 30 per liter on diesel and Rs 27.32 per liter on petrol. On the other hand, the amount of petroleum levy on kerosene is Rs 11.43.
However, the final prices of petroleum products will be decided by the Finance Ministry after taking into account the recommendations of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
