Irshad Malik, CEO of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), took notice of the flight fares of PIA flights to Saudi Arabia on Saturday, 24 News HD TV reported.
Irshad Malik ordered stern action against those involved in high fares of PIA flights to Saudi Arabia.
PIA spokesman Abdullah Khan clarified that the fare for flights from Pakistan to Saudi Arabia is Rs 84,000, which includes all taxes.
The spokesman said that re-accommodation on old tickets on these flights can be obtained by paying only $ 100. A PIA spokesperson said that now travel agents cannot charge more than Rs 4,000 to Rs 5,000 commission.
The national carrier urged passengers not to pay more than the stipulated ticket price and if anyone demands more than that, they should immediately inform the PIA.
The spokesman said that PIA had sought permission for 28 more passenger flights to Saudi Arabia for the convenience of Pakistani nationals.
He said that Arshad Malik had also requested for more flights in his meeting with Saudi Arabian envoy to Pakistan Nawaf bin Syed Al-Maliki.

The spokesman said that once permission was granted, tickets for flights to Saudi Arabia would be easily available, which would run between September 20 and 30.
