Police arrest 7 ‘White Corolla’ gangs for house robbery

KARACHI: Police on Tuesday confirmed that seven suspects belonging to the much-wanted “White Corolla” group have been arrested.

According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) East, Sajid Saduzai, the suspects were robbing a house earlier in the day when Fedabadabad police acted on a tip-off received at the Madagar 15 helpline.

When the police personnel reached the spot, the accused opened fire, as a result of which four accused, identified as Aziz-ur-Rehman, Abdullah, Noor Ali and Javed, were injured in retaliatory firing.

Along with the four other accused, identified as Shahid, Sadiq Khan and Rashid, they were all taken into custody.

The suspects entered the house through the back door after cutting the metal doors with cutters and other tools.

A white Corolla car, a motorcycle, a cutter, a mobile phone and weapons were also seized from the suspects, according to police.

In addition, a rifle, two 9mm pistols, and four other pistols were seized.

The criminal records of the arrested accused are being verified. Most of them are Afghans, while others are locals, police said.
