Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has claimed that his party will form its own government in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
Talking to a private television channel on Sunday, the PPP leader mocked Prime Minister Imran Khan, saying he had always criticized his policy for Kashmir and his attitude towards the region.
Bilawal is in Kotli to support and support PPP voters ahead of the 11th general elections in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Voting ends July 25.
“There is a clear difference in the attitude of Imran Khan and the prime ministers before him,” he said.
“I have full confidence in the PPP candidates (of Azad Kashmir). They will stand with us. “We believe in the strength of our party and that our candidates have what it takes to form a PPP government in Kashmir.
Meanwhile, addressing a rally in Rawalpindi on Sunday, Bilawal said the Kashmiri people would “not follow the puppet government”.
“We should send a message to Islamabad that the Kashmiri people will decide their own future,” Bilawal said, adding that this was the PPP’s policy.
Criticizing Prime Minister Imran Khan, Bilawal said he had promised the Kashmiri people that he would be their ambassador but had become Kulbhushan’s lawyer. The PPP chairman strongly objected to the passage of the International Court of Justice (Review and Reconsideration) Bill 2020 in the National Assembly, claiming that Parliament was not taken into confidence before the bill was passed. If Imran Khan wants to give NRO to Clubbhushan, he can go ahead. But the PPP will never be your partner in crime, ”he told the government.
