Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that he is ready to hear the concerns of 20 to 30 party MNAs and MPA like-minded groups of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) who have launched an investigation against PTI leader Jahangir Tareen over sugar Have become active only after Crisis.
The prime minister was responding to a question about concerns raised by the group. He is thought to have survived an earlier attempt to oust him following Mr Jiang’s intervention.
“I am ready to listen to everyone, but people should understand why all this happened. In just one year, the price of sugar has gone up by Rs. And as a result, about Rs 1,120 billion to Rs 1,130 billion has gone from the pockets of the people to the owners of sugar mills. Obviously, it is the government’s job to protect the public interest.
The prime minister said the government had ordered the FIA to conduct an inquiry into how the sugar mill owners had formed a cartel and manipulated prices. “They don’t pay taxes, unannounced sugar, it’s all in the FIA report.”
If anyone has any concerns, we can consider them. But it is not possible for us not to ensure the rule of law.
