Provincial government can buy corona virus vaccine, no NOC needed: Dr Faisal Sultan

Dr Faisal Sultan, special assistant to the prime minister for health, said on Monday that the center had allowed provincial governments to take drops of the corona virus.

The Special Assistant said in a tweet, “The federal government has purchased and will continue to purchase the covid vaccine for all Pakistanis.

He added, “At the same time, no NOC (No Objection Certificate) is required, (or any NOC is pending) or any registered government is prohibited from taking any registered vaccine. If they are able to do so, any facility will be provided.

Earlier, it was reported that Pakistan may not receive doses of the Asterisk coronavirus vaccine until May or even later as India diverted supplies to meet its domestic needs. The third wave of the virus has led to an increase in cases of coronavirus worldwide.

Health department officials say they have ordered 1 million doses of synoform vaccine from China, which is due to arrive in Pakistan on Tuesday, March 30, after a delay in the arrival of Aster Zenica Coveshield through Kovacs. At least 60,000 single-dose doses are expected to arrive in Pakistan overnight.
