Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has sought the support of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) for the by-election of NA-249 in Karachi.
A PTI delegation led by Khurram Sherzaman met MQM (P) leader Kanwar Naveed Jamil and sought the support of the ruling party’s candidate in the by-elections. Kanwar Jamil said the Rabata committee would make the final decision.

Khurram told the media after meeting the MQM-P leader that he had requested the MQM-P to support the PTI in the by-elections.
Kanwar said that Prime Minister Imran Khan had assured him during a meeting that he would abide by his word, however, the Rabata Committee would take a final decision on whether to support the PTI in the by-elections.
