Muzaffarabad: The Azad Jammu and Kashmir Election Commission on Sunday announced that the PTI has won three reserved seats for women, bringing its total number of seats in the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly to 29.

The PPP and PML-N each won a reserved seat for women. All five women candidates won unopposed.

Imtiaz Naseem, Sabiha Siddique, Kausar Taqdis Gilani from PTI won while Nabila Ayub from PPP and Nasran Abbasi from PML-N were the winning candidates.

A total of 10 candidates had filed nomination papers for the reserved seats, but five of them later withdrew their names.

Polling for technocrats, clerics and overseas Kashmiris will be held on Monday in three other reserved seats as more than one candidate is contesting in each category.

Following the latest results, the PTI has won 29 seats in the AJKLA, the PPP 12, and the PML-N seven.
