New Delhi: Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Wednesday accused Rahul Gandhi of trying to undermine the country’s resolve to fight coronovirus, saying the former Congress chief minister’s entire campaign against the government was “lies, misrepresentation and Is based on “distorting the facts”.
Later, the BJP released a collage of media reports stating that Rahul has been inconsistent in his remarks on lockout, changes in labor laws and various other issues. Prasad said, “Ever since the crisis began, Rahul Gandhi has been trying to weaken the country’s re-resolution in the fight against coronovirus.” Prasad said that except China, the 15 worst-affected countries have a population of 142 million.
“As of the WHO report, 3,43,562 people have died in these countries as of the evening of 26 May,” he said. “India alone has a population of 137 crores and only 4,345 people have died due to the virus in the country. The recovery rate in the country is more than 41%. While the deaths are unfortunate, there is no cure for coronavirus, ”he said.
