24 News HD TV channel reported on Friday that PML-N leader Khawaja Saad Rafique has demanded Prime Minister Imran Khan to postpone Class 10 and 12 examinations for a few weeks.
According to Saad, he had no choice but to take up the matter with the Prime Minister. He said that he had tried his best but his voice was heard in the National Assembly.
He reiterated his request for a delay in the exams starting July 10 because, according to him, the students were “not ready”. He said that the students have not got ‘smart curriculum’ which will yield good results.
Saad had made the same request on the flour of the National Assembly that he had met with Speaker Asad Qaiser on Thursday on a notice to draw the attention of the former in Chris.
The PML-N leader urged Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood to come to the Assembly for a few hours to discuss the issue in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
The federal minister took to social media on Friday to accuse the PML-N leader of “playing politics”, although the latter has emphasized that his concerns are collective. “This is not a political issue; this is the future of thousands of young people,” Saad said in a speech to the assembly.
