The School Education Department has given permission to reopen schools in the state from November 23 to classes ninth to twelfth. However, BMC had asked the schools to remain closed till 31 December, which has now been extended to 15 January next year. In a circular issued on Tuesday, Mahesh Palkar, BMC’s education officer, said, “Even though BMC’s jurisdiction is under the control of coronovirus, all mediums and schools of management will remain closed until January 15 in view of the second wave of Kovid . -19 Position in other countries and in other states of India. ”
Schools running the consulate, however, will be allowed to reopen on Monday after 15 January. “While we can change the educational program for local schools, we have no control over the consulate schools. The schools have been reopened in their respective countries and hence we have given permission to reopen them. A decision will be taken on whether other schools can be reopened before January 15.
