Security guards kill bank manager for blasphemy

When the police arrived in Khushab’s Quaidabad Tehsil, a large crowd gathered

A security guard at a bank shot dead his manager, accusing him of blasphemy, Geo News reported Wednesday.

Police sources and a government official said the blasphemy charge was fake and the killing was based on personal enmity.

The incident took place in Quaidabad Tehsil of Khushab on Wednesday, where a security guard stationed at a bank branch shot and seriously injured Muhammad Imran Hanif, an official of the National Bank of Pakistan.

Hanif was rushed to a hospital for treatment of gunshot wounds, but eventually succumbed to his injuries, police sources said.

Nawaz said he opened fire when Hanif allegedly committed blasphemy.

However, police sources said that the two had in fact been engaged in a verbal argument for the past two days, which escalated after they did not reconcile their differences.

Police arrived at the scene after receiving a report of the death and took Nawaz into custody. While the security guard was being taken into custody, a large number of people came out and chanted slogans in his favor.

Maulana Tahir Ashrafi has condemned the killing

Dr. Tahir Ashrafi, Chairman Pakistan Ulema Council (PUC) and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Religious Harmony, condemned the killing of the bank official and said that the security guard had killed the victim only for these reasons. Who are born of personal enmity.

“This is a very disappointing incident,” an aide to the prime minister said in a video message.

The entire religious leadership of the country condemns this and insha’Allah, the government of Pakistan will take action against all such criminals who disrespect our religion, our religion and (according to our faith) our Holy Prophet (PBUH). “The PBUH has to fulfill its personal enmity or obsession,” he said.
