SIMC Pune is ending in January 2021 for its two flagship programs – MBA (CM) and MA (MC)

PUNE: Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication (SIMC), Pune, one of the best media and mass communication colleges in India, will end registration for its two flagship programs – MBA in Communication Management (or MBA (CM)) and MA Mass Communication (or MA (MC)) in January 2021.

The MBA in Communications Management is a two-year, full-time program focused on building knowledge of media, communications and management principles in conjunction with practice. It covers a wide range of subjects that allows for an overall understanding of the field and empowers students to build their own identity in the media and entertainment industry. Although they have a very strong screening process, any graduate with an inclination and more than 50 per cent marks in their UG course can apply for this course at SIMC Pune.

The SNAP test (or Symbiosis National Aptitude Test) for admission to MBA (CM) will be conducted on three dates – 20 December 2020, 06 January 2021 and January 09 2021. Candidates are allowed two attempts after which they are shortened to GE-PIWAT. Registrations for the next batch closed on 27 January 2021 (candidates are required to apply for SNAP by 28 November 2020).

The MA in Mass Communication is also a two-year full-time program that prepares graduates for storytelling, either in written or audio-visual format. With expert faculty and practical sessions sprinkled throughout the curriculum, students can find their niche, polish it and showcase it globally.

Employers who hire graduates of this program include leaders such as Times Network, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd., Glitch Media Pvt. Ltd., Thomas Reuters and more. For MA (MC), the entrance examination will be conducted on 7 February 2021 and will be followed by the GI-PIWAT shortlisted candidates. Registration for the event closed on 18 January 2021.
