Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav said on Tuesday that the protesting farmers will bring the BJP government to the center and predict their party’s victory in the next Uttar Pradesh assembly elections.
Yadav attacked the government in a tweet after Somaiya Rana, daughter of Urdu poet Munnwar Rana, Masood Alam of Bahujan Samaj Party and former MLA Ramesh Gautam, joined his party.
He reiterated that the SP is opening its doors to smaller parties and will take everyone along. He also mentioned West Bengal and accused the BJP of trying to distance leaders from other parties.
“The BJP government has crossed all limits of injustice and atrocities. The government forgives whoever raises their voice. Democracy will be safe only when this government goes.
Akhilesh reiterated the support of the farmers protesting on the Delhi borders against the three new Central Agricultural Marketing Laws.
He accused the central government of calling off a planned round of talks while farmers camped in the cold winter.
He said, BJP is continuously insulting the farmers. Farmers will bring the arrogant BJP government on the road, ”he tweeted in Hindi.
He claimed that there was never so much corruption under any other government, and he accused him of damaging the economy. Yadav cited coronovirus lockdown and demonetization as “examples”.
Yadav claimed that more than 90 workers died while going from cities to their homes during the lockout, but “the government did not help anyone”.
He accused the BJP of poaching leaders of other parties and inciting a fight between them.
“It is doing the same thing in West Bengal. The same happened in Uttar Pradesh before the assembly elections.
