Prime Minister Imran Khan chaired a meeting of the Federal Cabinet here on Tuesday and discussed various agenda items related to development projects and other important issues, 24 News News TV channel reported quoting a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office. What
The TV channel reported that the federal cabinet discussed the latest situation of Covid 19 and the steps to be taken to prevent its spread.

The Cabinet also discussed the overall political and economic situation of the country and considered the political, economic and overall situation of the country.
The federal cabinet considered the 17-point agenda and approved the license of the private airline Air Sial.
The cabinet-approved corona virus vaccine will be given to frontline health workers, while the cabinet has decided to provide the vaccine to citizens over the age of 65 in the second phase.
The Cabinet members agreed to complete the Government Flagship Development Project, New Pakistan Housing Authority, River Ravi Urban Development Project in Lahore and Bundle Island Project in Karachi on time.
All three projects are the guarantors of Pakistan’s development and prosperity, the cabinet members agreed and also approved the extension of deputation of the Executive Director of the National Institute of Health (NIH).
The cabinet also discussed the opposition gatherings in Multan and the ministers were of the view that in the current situation, the opposition gatherings violated the country’s laws.
The Cabinet also approved a golden handshake for the employees of Pakistan Steel Mills and privatization of various institutions.
Sources said that MQM is against the privatization of House Building Finance Corporation. Federal Minister Aminul Haq said that HBFC was a for-profit organization and was providing facilities to the people as per the vision of the government.
The Cabinet reviewed the gas supply situation in the country and approved a load management plan, according to which in the first phase, gas supply to CNG stations will be suspended while priority will be given to domestic consumers and export sectors.
After the federal cabinet meeting, Information Minister Senator Shibli Faraz commented on opposition gatherings in Lahore on December 13.
“The government will periodically review the Lahore gathering of the opposition and so far we are not allowing a public meeting. However, the government will not stop anyone from attending the Lahore gathering.
He was addressing the media for a briefing on today’s meeting of the Federal Cabinet. He alleged that “Maryam Nawaz Sharif cannot speak the truth. Everything she said in the audience (Multan) was a pack of lies and the Multan show was a flop yesterday.
He assured the nation that Prime Minister Imran Khan was not afraid of difficulties.
Shibli Faraz said that public meetings are banned but now the government has decided not to obstruct the opposition meeting in Lahore. He said the PDM, an alliance of opposition parties, had not considered the spread of the corona virus from such public gatherings.
