He said this while addressing a function held at Sahiwal on Friday for the launch of mega development projects.

He added that the development package includes construction of water supply, underpass and road construction, wildlife park, tehsil sports complex, grounds, sewerage and provision of health and education facilities.

Sahiwal has become the center of attention of the PTI as I have visited the city more than five times to meet people from different sections of the society. My team is working to make the recommendations work.

The Chief Minister emphasized that cities are being transformed to enjoy modern amenities. He further said that provision of modern municipal services at a cost of Rs. 18 billion is being started in Sahiwal under the Punjab Intermediate Cities Improvement Investment Program. He added that the government has also saved Rs 11 crore through open international tendering.

He said that Sahiwal and Sialkot would emerge as the engine of development as a waste segregation plant has been inaugurated in Sahiwal with the launch of Waste Management Academy and Ehsas Program, Skilled Youth Program and Punjab Employment Scheme.

Bazdar said that the foundation stone of 120-bed Sahiwal Institute of Cardiology has been laid along with the upgrading of the teaching hospital. At the same time, he added, a global health care program is being launched to provide free medical treatment to 120 million people in the province.

He termed the incoming government as farmer friendly which started agricultural policy in 2019 and said that important agricultural projects worth Rs 90.70 billion have been launched in the last two years. Sadly, Sahiwal is called a cattle barn, but he said no one gave any thought to formulating a provincial cattle policy.

The Chief Minister said that the credit for formulating and initiating the first livestock policy of the province before the forthcoming budget goes to the present government. He said that the government would also liaise with parliamentarians and other stakeholders for the completion of development projects and the goal of comprehensive development under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan would be achieved.
