The government began the process of freezing TLP’s bank accounts and assets

The government has initiated the process to freeze the bank accounts and other assets of the banned Tehreek-e-Lubaik Pakistan (TLP).

According to sources, the government is blocking computerized national identity cards and passports of active members of the TLP. The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and provincial revenue departments will help the government freeze TLP assets anywhere and everywhere in Pakistan.

Sources said that arms licenses issued to TLP officials and workers are being revoked. Sources said that action is being taken against TLP workers under the Anti-Terrorism Act 1997.
