The federal government has submitted its reply to the Sindh High Court in a petition against A and O level personal examinations.
A few weeks ago, a group of students moved the court, saying such measures could put hundreds of lives at risk of contracting the deadly corona virus.
The court said that the decision to conduct physical O and A level examinations was taken after approval from the National Command and Operations Center.
Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar asked the federal government to consider the matter and discuss it with the public prosecutor. The court also directed the lawyers to present their arguments on April 22.

Dr. Farooq Sattar of Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan presented in the court to express solidarity with the students.
The students chanted slogans in favor of Sattar while the court staff stopped them from chanting slogans.
Speaking on the occasion, he lashed out at the authorities, saying that such measures would only increase the suffering of the students.
