A wildlife crime investigation team from Kozhikode has been sent to the incident site for further investigation, he told reporters in Thiruvananthapuram.
Meanwhile, taking the incident seriously, Union Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar said that the Center has sought a complete report and assured strict action against the culprits involved, a report Kochi said.

The case of Pachiram’s tragic death in Silent Valley came to light when a forest officer, Mohan Krishnan, posted a sentimental note on his Facebook page, which contained the story of the elephant’s death in the waters of the Valeria River.
