The National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) on Thursday approved the issuance of certificates for partial vaccinations – and now those wishing to travel abroad can obtain them.
The NCOC said the certificate would be issued through the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) online system, while the Ministry of National Health has the authority to change the certificate as it deems fit.
Meanwhile, during a meeting of the NCOC chaired by Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Asad Omar, the forum reviewed the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across the country.
A statement said, “The Forum expressed concern over the decline in non-compliance of SOPs …. and to take all possible steps to ensure the implementation of SOPs along with a large-scale vaccination campaign. Decided. “
In this regard, the NCOC has directed all the federation units to keep an eye on the growing trend of non-implementation of SOPs in order to reduce the spread of the disease in the country.
It is important to note that the government has stepped up its immunization campaign, but as of June 2, it had captured 7.9 million people and a total population of 207.68 million.
