The Pakistan Navy Shipbuilding Index ceremony was held in Karachi

The induction ceremony of State of the Art Corps, Pakistan Navy Ship Tabak was held at Pakistan Navy Dockyard, Karachi.

Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

Speaking on the occasion, Admiral Niazi termed the inclusion of PNS Tebak as an important milestone in enhancing its operational capabilities in the Pakistan Navy.

The Admiral stressed that the new addition would help promote a safe and secure marine environment in the region. He highlighted the importance of the evolution of the geo-strategic environment in the region and the need for a strong naval force to meet the growing maritime challenges.

Highlighting the plight of Kashmiris in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ & K), the special guest paid tribute to their exemplary struggle against Indian oppression.

The Pakistan Navy signed an agreement in 2017 for both Yarmouk class corridors. The first aircraft of this class, PNS Yarmouk, was added to the fleet in July this year, while the second aircraft, PNS Tebak, was also added to the fleet.

Later, the Naval Chief urged the officers and men of PNS Tebak to make full use of the combat capability of this modern warship in safeguarding the maritime interests of the motherland.

He also acknowledged the cooperation of Messrs. Demonstration Yards (Romania) and the provision of a high quality platform to the Pakistan Navy. Senior Naval Officers attended the induction ceremony.
