According to the TV channel, Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that politics cannot be allowed under the guise of religion.

It is noteworthy that the anti-government movement of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), an alliance of 11 opposition parties, announced a protest in front of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on January 19.

PDM President Maulana Fazlur Rehman has demanded the resignation of Prime Minister Imran Khan by January 31 and has announced a possible long march in due course if the demands of the DPM are not met.

Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid chaired an important meeting with Federal Ministers Asad Umar, Information Minister Shibli Faraz, Defense Minister Pervez Khattak and Science Minister Fawad Chaudhry.

Later, addressing a press conference along with four other ministers, Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid said that he and Minister for Religious Affairs and Inter-Faith Harmony Noorul Haq Qadri were in touch with the heads of religious madrassas.

Although the minister made it clear that the government would not block the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) protest on January 19 in the same sentence, he did not allow opposition sit-ins to go everywhere. He hoped that PDM leaders would not take the law into their own hands.

Speaking on the occasion, Federal Minister for Law and Justice Barrister Forough Naseem said that according to the orders of the Supreme Court, everyone has the right to protest.

Sheikh Rashid Ahmed added, “Imran Khan will never accept Israel and does not think that the PTI government is un-Islamic.”
