Talking to the ambassador, Ambassador Atidan Molomov said that Turkmenistan and Pakistan have deep and friendly relations. Turkmenistan wants to boost trade ties with Pakistan, the ambassador said. He added that the volume of bilateral trade was very small and needed to be increased. He said that Pakistan could take advantage of trade opportunities to enhance cooperation in agricultural machinery and pharmaceuticals. The envoy praised the RCCI’s efforts in promoting regional trade.
RCCI President Nasir Mirza briefed the Ambassador on the ongoing activities of the Rawalpindi Chamber and said that Central Asian countries are big markets and joint ventures need to be explored.
New trade routes also need to be explored, he said, adding that business opportunities between Pakistan and Central Asia and Turkmenistan are important.
Pakistani businessmen should seek Turkmen Turkmenistan for trade opportunities, adding that boosting regional trade could determine Pakistan’s economic direction.
