The study says that the use of mobile dating apps includes stress and social anxiety

New Rochelle: Symptoms of depression and social anxiety are linked to increased use of mobile dating applications among women, a study suggests.
The study was published Monday in the journal Cyberpsychology, Behavior and Social Networking.
“With increasing symptoms of social anxiety and depression, women are more likely to turn to technology for social communication, especially if alternative forms of social communication are reduced due to social avoidance.”
In men, the higher their symptoms of social anxiety and depression, the less likely they are to interact with matches on mobile dating apps.
“As fast as today’s dating scenes are quickly explored through mobile dating apps, research studies like Professor Anthony’s are necessary to understand their strengths as well as their shortcomings,” said Editor-in-Chief Brenda’s Woodward Hold, p.
