AGRA: Head Temples In Mathura And Vrindavan on Wednesday expressed reluctance to open its portal from June 8 without adequate police deployment to enforce physical disturbances, in the absence of which he said that more than 80% of the pilgrims would be infected with Kovid-19.
Hundreds of temples in the twin cities of Mathura-Vrindavan were closed on 22 March to prevent the spread of the novel coron virus. After the approval of the Center to reopen religious institutions across the country from June 8, the management of the temples held a meeting with the district administration on Wednesday.
Representatives of several famous temples, including Banke Bihari, Dwarkadhish, ISKCON and Radha Raman, demanded the deployment of police force to maintain social distance.
Mamu Goswami of the Banke Bihari temple said, “If the temples open without the deployment of police, it will be difficult to follow the social discrimination norms due to congestion in the narrow streets, which leads to most religious places. If proper care is not taken So 80% of the pilgrims will get infected and the temples will have to be closed again. ”
The Chief Executive Officer of Ranganath Temple, Ang Sri Nivasan demanded that the administration should allow a limited number of people to visit the temples.
