The wreck falls from a Supertel NYC skyscraper; No one was injured

New York – The wreck fell from the top of a crane spun into the air Thursday evening as a supersert skyscraper completed in New York City, but no one was injured, officials said.
The video posted on social media showed the building carrying a full circle of cranes in rainy weather, rising more than 1,400 feet on Manhattan’s West 57th Street.
Fire officials said that they started operating in the building before 7 pm. The building department sent the inspectors. Traffic was stopped in the area, and metro trains were rerouted.
The crane is stable and being evaluated, Building Department spokesman Andrew Rudansky said in an email. The crane is designed to spin in the air, he said, but inspectors are trying to determine what caused the debris to fall.
There was no official description on what was in the wreck.
The skyscraper was developed by the JDS Construction Group. A message was left with the company.
