TLP chief Khadim Hussain Rizvi has died

His family sources said that Khadim Hussain Rizvi, the head of Tehreek-e-Libek Pakistan, passed away in Lahore Geo News.

According to sources, Rizvi had a fever when he joined the party Sit-in in Islamabad And it was not recovered.

The TLP leader was rushed to Sheikh Zayed Hospital in Lahore at around 8.45 pm, where he was pronounced dead by hospital sources.

He said an ECG was performed to confirm his death and that the staff who brought him to the hospital did not provide the patient with a “history of the patient”.

After the hospital confirmed his death, his body was taken to a private hospital, from where he was taken to his residence. Geo News Reported

A large number of TLP supporters gathered outside his residence in the Grand Battery Stop area on Multan Road in Lahore, where his body was brought back from the hospital.

Who was Khadim Hussain Rizvi?

Khadim Hussain Rizvi was born on June 22, 1966 and belonged to District Attock.

He studied Hafez and Tajweed from Jhelum Madrasa and went on to study Dars Nizami from Jamia Nizamia Rizvia in Lahore.

The TLP chief has been a key figure in Pakistan’s political landscape for the past three or four years.

His party staged a major sit-in in 2017 against the PML-N government. Then, in the 2018 general elections, they garnered 2.2 million votes and Tehreek-e-Lubaik Pakistan emerged as the country’s fifth largest party.

Reacting to the news, Hafiz Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi, head of the All Pakistan Ulema Council, said death was a “tragedy” for the nation.

He expressed condolences to Rizvi’s family.

Minister for Religious Affairs Noorul Haq Qadri also expressed sorrow over the death of the TLP leader.

“Pakistan has lost a great religious scholar and a true lover of the Holy Prophet (SAW).”

“The services of Khadim Hussain Rizvi for Islam will always be remembered,” he added.
