A key militant commander was killed in an intelligence-led operation in the Mir Ali area of North Waziristan on Tuesday.
According to a press release issued by the Pakistan Army’s Media Wing Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces conducted an operation in the Mir Ali area of North Waziristan to confirm the presence of terrorists in the area. During the exchange of fire, Hassan alias Sajna, a terrorist commander of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Hafiz Gul Bahadur group, was killed.
ISPR says Hassan alias Sajna was involved in the killing of four female workers in Mir Ali this week. The slain terrorist was involved in terrorist activities against security forces and civilians. He was involved in IED attacks, kidnappings for ransom, targeted killings, extortion and recruitment of terrorists. A cache of arms and ammunition was recovered from his hideout. Security forces were clearing the area after the operation.
