ISPR said Indian Army personnel deliberately violated the ceasefire in the Broha and Khanjar sectors along the Line of Control (LoC) and injured two elderly civilians.

According to ISPR, Indian troops targeted the civilian population with mortars and automatic weapons. He added that two senior citizens of the same family were injured due to unprovoked firing by the Indian Army. The injured have been shifted to a nearby hospital for necessary medical treatment. These are the first two civilian deaths this year. The ISPR concluded that since January 1, Indian troops have committed 38 ceasefire violations.
