Two little girls drowned in Sindh’s Sanghar canal

Two young girls drowned in a canal in Sanghar town of Sindh province, 24 News HD reported on Wednesday.

The dead were identified as four-year-old Zeba and three-year-old Princess. The tragedy took place in a village under the jurisdiction of the Chitari police station.

Rescue sources said that the children were playing near the old canal of Sanghar when suddenly she fell into it. The bodies were handed over to the families of the deceased.

On Monday, two brothers drowned in the Merwah Canal in the Sindh town of Khairpur. Local lawmakers said the tragedy happened when 11-year-old Hamza and 9-year-old Abdul Islam went for a swim.

A boy was killed after falling into a mud pit in Tando Adam area last week and his family blamed the incident on the Ogdi CL Sanghar administrator.

The boy’s family took to the streets against local administration officials, accusing them of failing to take action to prevent people from falling.

A few months ago, three friends from Karachi drowned in the Tando Allahyar canal, where they were on holiday.
