UP: Residential school to reopen from class 9 to class 9-12

Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government on Sunday directed all residential schools to reopen from 9 February for classes 9-12.

The residential schools include Jawahar Navodaya vidyalayas, Sainik schools, Rajkiye Ashram Padhati vidyalayas and other schools.

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma said that in view of the upcoming board examinations, it has been decided to regularize the academic session affected by the coronovirus epidemic.

He said that strict coronavirus protocols should be maintained by school officials while resuming classes at their institutions.
