West Bengal WBJEE Results Announcement 2020; Sauravdeep Das ranked first

Kolkata: The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board released the results and rank cards of the Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) on Friday.

The WBJEE 2020 merit list has been released on the official website – wbjeeb.nic.in.

A separate notification with counseling / seat allocation and admission details will be published in www.wbjeeb.in and www.wbjeeb.nic.in shortly.

Sauravdeep Das of RKM Vidyapeeth in Devghar stood first. He hails from Uttar Dinajpur. DPS Ruby Park School’s Seremanti Day is in the third place and topped the girls’ candidates.

Candidates should note that this year counseling will be conducted in distance mode ie online. They will not have to travel or report to any center. And they will not need to go to institutions for physical verification of their documents. The verification of final physical documents is done only when classes are started.

WBJEE 2020 counseling is likely to be held on August 12, 2020. Candidates are not required to pay the registration fee.

Any candidate scoring positive marks has been awarded a rank card. Around 72298 candidates are rank card holders.

The examination was conducted for admission in 116 colleges for 34891 seats.

The WBJEE result is published as a rank card, which includes all the relevant ranks, total scores, and component scores in Paper-I (Mathematics) and Paper-II (Physics and Chemistry). The board never published a rank list.

Candidates can view and download their rank card by logging in with their password.

Duplicate rank card cannot be generated at any stage after the completion of counseling and admission conducted by the board. Therefore, candidates are advised to keep their rank card carefully in a safe place for all future purposes.

If a candidate requires a duplicate rand card even after the completion of counseling and admission conducted by the board, it can be provided but up to 60 days after the date of declaration of result.

To get a duplicate rank card, the candidate has to apply to the board and pay a processing fee of Rs 500 / – by bank draft in the name of “West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board” payable at Kolkata.

All candidates have been issued rank cards, which have appeared in WBJEE-2020. Not all candidates have been awarded the rank and therefore will not be eligible for the counseling, for which the board will decide the cut off rank and / or cut off score.

The Engineering Entrance Examination was held on February 2, 2020, with a score of around 1.1. Lakh wrote his papers this year.

The Board has organized WBJEE for admission to the undergraduate course of Engineering / Pharmacy / Architecture in various institutes of West Bengal for the academic session 2020.
